those who have attended previous Summits. In order to expand our reach and
diversity, we are also accepting professionals and organizational executives
from related fields (e.g., OD and Leadership Development.)
You will be notified of your acceptance on a rolling basis until we have
reached maximum targets; additional requests will form a wait-list.

place at the Summit.
You will be required to attend the entire Summit from the evening of the
27th through the full day on the 30th of October. Please consider reading

The first Executive Coaching Summit was held in 1999. The ECS was created because many executive coaches felt a void-that there was no organization or event focusing on the unique needs and issues of the executive coach. Executive coaches felt that they did not have a voice and executive coaching was included with all other forms of coaching within the International Coach Federation charter.
The ECS has been held annually since 1999 and has generated a number of initiatives designed to complement efforts by the ICF and other organizations that support and offer services for executive coaches. Examples of such initiatives include:
- The ICF Executive Coaching Committee
- The ICF Executive Coaching Track/Panels at ICF Conferences
- The ICF Executive Coaching Special Interest Group (SIG)
- The ICF Internal Coaching SIG (now called "Council on Internal Coaching Programs")
- The ECNet
- The International Journal of Coaching in Organizations
- The International Consortium for Coaching in Organizations (ICCO)
Each year, the ECS produces a white paper or executive summary of the Summit, which can be found:
Complete summaries of Summits I to VII, from 1999 to 2006, can be found in our the Resources Section.
